Fantastic show!

I've seen Cabaret 7 different times before, and this was by far the most amazing cast i've seen. They were all just so 'on' the whole time, they sounded so great together, all of them had great voices and could all sing very well. I just loved literally every single character in the show from the main ones, to the ones that were on stage just a few times. They all brought their best to the stage and were all still very memorable. As I said before i've seen the show many times, but this cast made it totally new and exciting as if i've never even seen the show before. Very pleased with everything about it, even the little changes there are from show to show that i appreciate being surprised with. This show is HIGHLY recommended to see.

Cabaret

Just remember, UCLA students did everything, including attempting to play people far older than they, perhaps, the most challenging thing a young actor can do. The orchestra was good. Not great as might be expected. Style in music requires either time or genius. The acting was very good as was the singing and dancing. The risque content of the play was no doubt reigned in by the department in an attempt to remain collegiate, but there was one performer who deserves more than honorable mention.Katie Boeck is a star. Plain and simple. Watch for her. Either as an American Idol or future actress on or off Broadway. She shines. She is so smooth in her movement. She is playful and tart and of course tragic. See the musical, see Katie Boeck and see a future American icon.
